To quote, speaking of the RS Accurian HD:

"It is $175.00 with a $25 mail in rebate from Ibiquity, however rebates are a pain in the ___ to get, you have to send in a claim form with a copy of your reciept and there's still no sure chance you'll get it, I did it for a pack of CD-Rs and they denied me for a stupid reason even though I followed the instructions."

Ibiquity is obviously trying to get a head-count of the number of HD Radio receivers sold - I'de love to see the look on Struble's face, with just a trickle of rebates coming in ! :D

I remember a good friend in the computer biz often telling his clients: "Don't even consider the rebate to be part of the actual purchase price - chances are better than not - you'll never see it". So guess what?... Many folks lost respect for that crowd and their products. 'Just ask the Dell Marketing Department - BUT - Dell always honored rebates due me... 'Guess I was lucky. Now, I think I'll head out and buy the "dismal" BA HD-Radio (now back at its full $300 price") JUST to see if iBiquity behaves as well as Dell ::)
