Yes. Most people will hear a loud hissing sound throughout the woods. However, if you're listening on the HD-2 sub, to hear the actual sound of the tree falling you'll have to be close enough to be actually struck by it as it falls.
 
What if it's transmitted over a DVBS multiplex? Would it make a sound then?
