HD Radio University

For those of you interested in continuing education, you can now enroll in HD Radio University!

http://www.hdradiouniversity.com/

Broaden your mind (and your occupied bandwidth!)

Take advantage of small class sizes (and don't worry if you "skip" -- you'll still pass with flying colors!)

And what degree will you earn? Of course... that would be a Pee-HD.

Why would they show a person using headphones when no portable headphone HD radios are available?

Maybe she has one of those 1974 25 foot headphone extension cables.

No picture might be better than a misleading one.

Why would they show headphones? Because some of us prefer headphones. And dollar for dollar, you can hear a helluva lot more detail with headphones than speakers. MOST of my radio listening is through headphones...and not just when I'm "mobile".

Stacked on the shelf above my computer is a (boxed) Sennheiser HD580, Sony MDR-7506, an MDR-V6, a BeyerDynamic DT990 Pro, two Koss A-250s, a Sennheiser HD431, Koss Porta Pro, Koss KSC-75, Radio Shack Pro 75, and a few others. In fact, if they fell, I would possibly be crushed to death!

Headphones are just more involving TO ME. I'm addicted to them (obviously...the above is only a small sample of my collection!) I LOVE HEADPHONES! And I'm certainly not alone.

Yes, Mike. I listen to headphones a lot and still have one of the 25 foot extension cables I mentioned. I still prefer the $125 Sonys I bought 20 years ago.

The point I was making is that since none of the existing HD radios are ready for walkabout, why imply such with a picture?

It would probably not be wise for this university to try and obtain accredidation! ;D

Yep, looks like a diploma mill. :)

I hear the “big men on campus” hypnotically-seek seek “Brotherhood” in a Frat with the letters—BETA Upsilon Zeta... Members pay dearly for the “privilege” of membership and MUST have impressive “pecs” and a great-big “stick” to quality... 'LOTS of up-front cash and the ability to pay perpetual dues is a prerequisite. The initiation ritual remains unknown to all but those who sup “The Secret Tonic”; and they routinely-visit “the politics of personal destruction” upon those who dare question or criticize them in public. Members line-up [like Lemmings] for post-sunset paddle swats—“pain” is but a necessary price for “progress”!

The whole HD radio picture is all about being "misleading". HD peddlers are just remaining true to their creed.

It makes perfect sense to me. If McDonald's, the leading purveyor of junk food, can operate "Hamburger U" for its employees, why shouldn't Ibiquity, the leading purveyor of junk technology, operate "HD U" for the poor minimum wage clerks at Wal-Mart who are going to try to sell its garbage?

And of course, we're all familiar with HD University's football team, "The Side-Bandits".

I believe the mascot/s is a bunch of hissing rattlesnakes. :D

And the school's lunchroom serves nothing but hash...

And the school song: "Far...above....Cayuga's waters, all.....we do.....is BUZZZZZZZZZZ...."

You might even call it the school's Emission Statement.
