HD Radio Update

I know no one really cares because no one has an HD radio, but I was out with a friend yesterday who has an HD Radio in his car. As of note there was no HD on 92.5 WWYZ. The HD3 was missing from 102.9 WDRC. There was no HD on 104.1 WMRQ, but I suspect that has something to do with the fact that work continues on their tower. (And today their 97.1 relay was off the air).

Has DRC-FM ever had an HD3? What was on it? WWYZ's HD2 has been off for weeks and months at a time; nobody there apparently gives a crap about it despite Clear Channel being one of the earliest boosters of HD.

This time it's just Clear Channel's 92.5 that's down. Clear Channel's KISS 95.7, The River 105.9, and KC 101.3 all had their multi-cast HD signals up and running. Pride Radio on 95.7 HD 2, Classic Rock on 105.9 HD 2, Club Phusion on 101.3 HD 2, and WELI on 101.3 HD 3.

At least it serves as a security system of sorts against carjackers - who would even go near a car with an HD Radio in it? :D

They would break into that car. And leave another HD radio on the front seat.

_I_ have an HD Radio (actually 2 of them) and as far as what's on and what isn't, I checked recently and found the same results as MarcB, and here's what I'm currently getting from the dead zone area I live in (I miss the great reception in the old days when I was in the northern end of town):

WNPR - HD1
WWYZ - NO HD, only RDS (I will admit this could be due to my location)
WZMX - HD1 & 2 (HA! an ad for a Pioneer HD Radio at WalMart!)
WKSS - HD1 & 2
WTIC-FM - HD1, 2 & 3
WPLR - NO HD, only RDS (Again, I believe this to be a location issue)
WRCH - HD1 & 2
WKCI - HD1, 2 & 3
WDRC-FM - HD1, 2 & 3
WMRQ - HD1 & 2, but nothing for 3
WHCN - HD1 & 2

and I can't get anything on AM as this unit is weird that way, so I can't check WTIC-AM

The only thing I show here missing is WMRQ HD3 as I can't give accurate information on WWYZ and WPLR or the Springfield/Enfield area stations that I used to get before I moved.

And as far as the HD pirate that has yet to sign on, don't look for that any time soon, the guy who was planning on it has put that project on the backburner if not dropped yet.
