HD Radio updates only

I want to add it seems like a good HD signal. I can get it when the analog is weak. I even got it locked when I was hearing KSWP! It’s only hard to get when KAMU’s HD signal comes in pretty strong.

Awesome station, having isssues all day with the HD going in and out. But good music.
Was it their signal going out or just the strength? I do see they changed their HD call sign from “HD” to “KTSU” so many they took it down for a bit while they were changing that. Also they tweaked their text a bit.

During the whole day it would disconnect from HD on both KTSU1 and KTSU HD 2
I’ve noticed it’s been off for at least the past 20 minutes. Hopefully they’re just setting it up and it won’t have any issues

Some weird things already mentioned on here.
KKBQ HD2 artist starts with “2014-8-27” for every song
KTBZ HD3 is harder to pick up if you don’t have a strong signal
KHMX HD1 is slightly behind the analog
KMJQ HD2 sounds bad
KAMA HD4 has the old format in their text
KGLK HD3 sounds bad and is hard to pick up on a weaker signal

And a new update is KGLK HD3 changed their PTY from Top 40 to Foreign Language
KMJQ just sounds bad period. Not sure what’s going on in the audio chain.

There’s no HD of any kind on KFNC, despite what the legal ID claims. The 92.5 translator has no originating station.
True, though I'm still not sure why everyone is so stuck on whether KFNC's HD is operational or not. Having it on would make zero difference with regard to FCC compliance for K223CW.

Most of the 92.5 signal is outside the 60 dBu contour for KFNC, extending KFNC's coverage. Translators rebroadcasting commercial stations can't do that unless there is zero consideration (money or anything of value) changing hands from the station owner to the translator owner.

The only time I've ever personally witnessed this type of setup was when an alternative fan and HAM radio geek decided to build a translator in the small, but Nielsen rated market he lived in to rebroadcast an alternative station out of a much larger market about an hour away. He sought permission from the station owner to rebroadcast and the station granted it.

I'm not sure what the owner of 92.5 charges to lease it, but a few years ago, I was quoted $50,000 per month to lease one of the other translators in Houston. It would be absolutely shocking if they just let Gow use 92.5 rent free, though I suppose anything is possible. How much does whomever owns SDK Franco LLC like sports?

KAMA HD4 text finally says “Radio Vision Latina”.
Audacy HD2s and HD3s have had no text for a few days.
Audacy HD1 text will show a law firm ad but will show song info after and before that.
KHMX HD has a small delay with analog but it’s not as bad as it was.
KBXX HD text says LawBoss but that could be temporary.

I should also add the ptys for KTSU.
HD1 Jazz
HD2 no PTY

Audacy subchannels have text again. Still no song info on any of them though.
KBXX HD shows song info.
KKBQ HD2 seems to have fixed the artist field this time.

And from Mrtejano, KHPT HD3 is now known as "Conexión 101.7"

I don’t know what’s going on with KKBQ HD2. I see that date again. I saw 4 songs earlier with the proper artist so I thought it was fixed

I've noticed that it depends on when the song was added. The date being there indicates that they just never set the metadata properly when they added the song to WideOrbit, so probably just a bunch of bad data when they migrated from Maestro to WideOrbit.

KKBQ's HD1 is significantly quieter than the analog signal today, probably ~10dB quieter.

Noticed the HD delay on KHMX is back too, about a second or two.

Seems like they fixed the audio for KKBQ.

KHMX delay has been back for awhile but for me it’s not as bad as it was earlier. It’s like a quarter of a second of a delay. KMJQ HD recently got a delay of like a half a second.

Sometimes the digital signals sound different. Here for example the hip-hop digital HD signal is less clipped/distorted than the analog one.

Since at least yesterday morning KUHF HD3 has been silent. And for at least 2 days KILT HD2 and HD3 don’t have any text again.

KILT HD2 and HD3 are also super quiet. They haven't had proper metadata in some time, perhaps the lack of text means they're working to fix the metadata.
