None of the Audacy subchannels here have had proper metadata in awhile.KILT HD2 and HD3 are also super quiet. They haven't had proper metadata in some time, perhaps the lack of text means they're working to fix the metadata.

Is the HD-2 audio also on a translator? Then Nielsen is detecting the translator. Translators have the same PPM coding as the originating station. And KFNC-HD2 is still not there, contrary to the latest ‘ratings’. Makes you wonder what else is wrong with those ‘ratings’.
Obviously what is listed as “KFNC HD-2” is K223CW, the 92.5 translator. There is no HD of any sort on parent KFNC as has been endlessly discussed on the Houston boards the past few years. The translator does not fully simulcast 97.5, as the two often run separate commercials, and 92.5 splits off to air Sugar Land Space Cowboys games (Astros AAA affiliate) and will also run the SportsMap national feed when 97.5 has exclusivity to certain college games. Is the HD-2 audio also on a translator? And the FCC has been completely asleep on that problem, as well as numerous other shenanigans involving translators in the Houston market. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.If the "originating station" is not on the air, that is an FCC problem, not a Nielsen one.
But, again, if the station is using the PPM "encoders"without the originating AM or HD.2,3 or 5, being on the air, that is an FCC issue of incompliance with FCCC origination rules for the translator. Nielsen does not control or enforce that.Obviously what is listed as “KFNC HD-2” is K223CW, the 92.5 translator. This is what prompted my comment on the April ratings thread comparing the fictitious KFNC HD-2 to the real KUHF HD-2 and it’s identical rating, which is achieved without a translator.

It took longer than I thought but it’s back and it’s silent.KPFT HD2 is currently off. I’m sure it’ll be back on in the morning.
KPFT HD2 was back at 5 pm. I mean that’s the time I was driving home and was scrolling. It took longer than I thought but it’s back and it’s silent.
Still no text on any Audacy HD subchannels. I wonder why that’s the case.
The $0.09 per share price has nothing to do with it…It took longer than I thought but it’s back and it’s silent.

Does it really save them any money to not include any text for an already on HD2 and HD3? The HD1s show full artist and title info. The $0.09 per share price has nothing to do with it…
No, it does not. If they have the unit needed for that purpose, there is no fee or cost involved.Does it really save them any money to not include any text for an already on HD2 and HD3? The HD1s show full artist and title info.
It does save them money for paying an engineer to fix it!Does it really save them any money to not include any text for an already on HD2 and HD3? The HD1s show full artist and title info.
They also sometimes play Blinding Lights by The Weeknd. They do say the best of the 80s and more. I’ve also heard Pon de Replay by Rihanna and some other 2000s songs.I was mildly surprised to see 106.9 The Point HD2 playing Smash Mouth’s All Star (1998) (they’re playing it as I type). At what point did they start playing music that new?
It has been fixed before recently. I don’t understand why they’d neglect a big market like Houston. In Philadelphia they temporarily changed WTDY HD call sign to “90 Swift 5” when they were only playing Taylor Swift. It does save them money for paying an engineer to fix it!
Ha! Why not go ahead and run our version of 100.7 The Word on your HD3, while you're at it, and really blow some people's minds down there? Might even have to fire up the stereo pilot on KKHT for that one.I noticed that KKHT HD2 was off this morning. That is the place where KNTH is supposed to be on. However, the main reason that it is not on is because we don't have HD!![]()
