HD Radio updates only

Referring to off-and-on RDS lights as "Micro-Trivia" is not rude at all. It's just a simple opinion about a boring issue.
No need to be over-sensitive about it.
I want this thread to just be about any random HD changes. Any conversation that isn’t directly related to “Micro-Trivia” can be talked about in a different thread. That way people can ignore this one if they so choose. I’m only reporting the RDS if it’s related to the HD in some way.

I noticed this morning a couple of stations were off the air due to the thunderstorms and I didn’t post those here because they’re not HD.

@HTX

Those storms had 107.5 reaching up here last night, trivial or not. Pretty rare to hear Foghat on 107.5 for me, as it's usually a weak Spanish-language KMVK that is there, if anything. Found that surprising, as there was nary a sign of the significantly closer 106.9.

I would think a new transmitter and related audio chain equipment would solve any KKHT issues.

Or just install Stereo Tool, which is what I use for my small home transmitter. This thing sounds like the pros. Stereo Tool - Thimeo
Not free though if you wanna use the Declipper and other FM/RDS features.

My audio chain is a computer putting out music and running StereoTool connected to a cheap $50 mixer, then a wire from that to the transmitter. No expensive audio gear. I can upload a clip if anyone wants to hear.

KHMX HD is back and the delay from analog is mostly fixed. It’s delayed by a split second.

KSHU HD2 had been off for a bit now

KHPT HD3 was REALLY loud recently but has been fixed

KLTN HD3 has been sounding horrible. Sounds crumbly, no static but it makes my speakers sound like they’re blown out.

KAMA HD3 and KLTN HD2 is still TUDN .

does kltn hd3 still sound horrible to you?
I really don’t listen to it as much. But this morning it did sound a little bad. Sounded like if my speakers were blown out.

KLTN HD1 had a little clicking sound but I think it was due to Raul broadcasting away from the studios. Cause the commercials didn’t have that little clicking sound.

ok, well it sounds ok to me.
Raul broadcasts remotely a lot , uses a Tieline ViA unit, with a simple shure beta 58 mic, no processor, plus a lil deaf due to high level headphones over decades on the air, so he will turn up the mic and phones as loud as he can get, and will clip which is the clicking sound.

After months of not having it, all Audacy HD subchannels have text again. I’ve attached some proof. Don’t know if I need to attach pictures of all the subchannels or if I need todays newspaper.IMG_3419.jpegIMG_3420.jpeg

Still no artist/title data though, at least on KILT-HD3. And the audio on KILT-HD3 is still pretty atrocious, sounds out of phase and/or extremely low bitrate. Either no one’s listening, or they’re just willing to sit through painful audio to hear what is in opinion, great programming.

Likely permanent. It was posted elsewhere that the format would show up on an HD-2 which was presumed to be 92.9. Might listen for any on-air redirect announcements for Country Legends during the lead-up to the KTHT 97.1 sale approval and subsequent flip to K-Love.
