They turned it off on KHJK and never turned it back on as far as I'm aware.97.1 KTHT (now KLVH) HD turned off shortly before the switch to K-LOVE. Hopefully they don’t leave it off.
It does seem like a slightly longer delay than what it wasNot important but Khmx has around 1 second delay when switching from Analog to HD.
It’s back to normalI forgot to mention yesterday but KGLK HD2 is silent
Would be nice if they could have kept the97.1 KTHT (now KLVH) HD turned off shortly before the switch to K-LOVE. Hopefully they don’t leave it off.
Funny thing is, because Country Legends is now on 92.9 HD2, it actually has better coverage to the Houston area than it did on 97.1. So putting it on 92.9 HD2 is much better than if it ended up on 97.1 HD2 (which would never happen under EMF’s ownership, since they exclusively run Christian formats).Would be nice if they could have kept the
Country Legends on the HD2
Why would a religious broadcaster have kept a secular format?Would be nice if they could have kept the
Country Legends on the HD2
EMF couldn't do that even if they wanted to. FCC rules are very specific regarding NCE and LPFM stations - no commercial broadcast at all, including HD sub channels.Would be nice if they could have kept the

There are some translators owned by EMF that have commercial formats.EMF couldn't do that even if they wanted to. FCC rules are very specific regarding NCE and LPFM stations - no commercial broadcast at all, including HD sub channels.
Are they in Houston? Translators in Houston appear to be exempt. There are some translators owned by EMF that have commercial formats.
Translators on the commercial part of the FM band can be fed with commercial programming. EMF is doing that in just a few markets. My point was that full power NCE stations can’t feed commercial programming on the main channel or HD sub channels. There are some translators owned by EMF that have commercial formats.
They may be leasing out the translators to for-profit programmers. We have already established that they are in it for the money. More heads covered equates to more revenue, and as that great philosopher, P.T. Barnum, once said, "There's one born every minute."Translators on the commercial part of the FM band can be fed with commercial programming. EMF is doing that in just a few markets.
There seem to have been more HD outages with the ex-Cox stations lately (although usually just the subchannels instead of the entire HD transmission). I wonder why.Since at least early in the morning KHPT HD and RDS have been off
They didn't turn it off. It was already off when they bought the station. It had actually been off for years at that point. They turned it off on KHJK and never turned it back on as far as I'm aware.
Did 103.7 ever actually run HD after the big upgrade in 2005? I didn’t have an HD receiver during the pre-EMF years of the station (KUST/KIOL/KHJK).They didn't turn it off. It was already off when they bought the station. It had actually been off for years at that point.
97.1 HD did go off a lot after it was sold. I can't recall any of the other HDs being completely off. There seem to have been more HD outages with the ex-Cox stations lately (although usually just the subchannels instead of the entire HD transmission). I wonder why.
Yes, as KIOL, but it was incredibly spotty unless you were east of downtown and reached almost into Lake Charles going east. I do not recall 97.5 ever being in HD prior to Gow picking it up.Did 103.7 ever actually run HD after the big upgrade in 2005?
