HD Radio updates only

The “Retro” branding apparently is being used in markets where there is already another station with some sort of “Magic” identity. Discussion of this on the San Diego and San Antonio/Austin boards.
I’m still confused how Dallas has Magic with KZMJ. And also wouldn’t they be able to use Magic in San Antonio with KSMG now “Hits”?

Retro and Magic are way different. I’m speaking of the HD3 channel.

The Magic that was on HD3 played both Spanish songs and English songs. On Retro I have not heard 1 song in Spanish

Since this afternoon KHMX HD was off.

And some “boring RDS updates”. The Eagle RDS has been messed up since Sunday afternoon. KGLK has no radio text and their scrolling text just says KGLK. KHPT has no RDS at all.

Speaking of KLOL, here it is in full digital reaching from Missouri City all the way up to my location 4 miles north of Tyler.

106.9 The Eagle with solid HD. Has been going strong for over an hour now.

Who is the Spanish language preaching coming from the HD3?

I believe that is one of the numerous translators owned by Cesar Guel, which was sold to a local gentleman in Houston, The Station is known as Conexion Radio

KHMX HD is back

That is correct. I’m pretty sure 101.7 recently moved to their downtown location because I’ve been picking them up super weak in Conroe recently
They’re one 2 different 101.7 translators. The one by Pasadena and the one up north.

Last I checked that 101.7 is Aliento. But I “speculate” that Conexion is broadcasting from 2 or 3 different towers but only has 1 license.
I am of the belief that Aliento is affiliated with KGBC AM K269GS Channel 269, operating at 101.7 FM in Pasadena. The other transalator
On 101.7 is occupied by K269GT downtown Houston.

Tropos were quite nice this week. I was getting KLTY, KSCS, KHKS out of Dallas and KHFI, KVET out of Austin near downtown Montgomery yesterday.
From the other side of that coin, Houston and B/PA were quite strong up here the last few days. KQBU, KQBT, KTJM, KLOL, KHPT, and even KGLK have made appearances here, with full HD lock as noted above on KLOL and KHPT.

Unfortunately, no luck picking up any of the translators from down there. I thought maybe, just maybe, but no luck.
