HD Radio?

Let's discuss HD. Any stations already made the investment and care to share your thoughts thus far? What about those of you who haven't made the flip and are waiting... what will encourage you to take the plunge?

What a waste!

Class B in Indy has HD that is worthless. 13 kw at 1000 feet is not 10% power in HD but 1%.

130 watts at 1000 feet. This is a class B.

Can't hear WFMS at the studio on a radio inside the building. Just a few miles away HD reception stinks.

Biggest step backwards since the FCC switched FM frequencies.

Now let's talk class A. 3kw at 330 feet becomes....

30 watts at 330 feet.

Really goes the distance merely to the base of the tower.

What good is this for a small station? Only the big cheeses with money to blow are investing.

What ministry will spend money on such a worthless signal? For a class A we are talking 70,000 plus the 25,000 license fee.
