HD Radio

I've been using a JVC HD Car stereo I got cheap with a rebate for the past couple weeks. I notice 106.7 shows an HD Radio logo on the website and eRockster is supposed to be the format for their HD2 stream, but does anyone know when their HD will come online? Johnboy? Also, does anyone else have plans for subchannels in the near future? The hdradio.com guide seems outdated already.

Thanks

Speaking of 106.7 FM, I've noticed that they now have several air personalities on the air during the week.
I didn't expect CC Columbus to have this many air personalities on 106.7 FM.
Are most of them voice tracked?

I thought they've had air personalities for at least three-four months. Assuming Laura is PD Laura Lee, that would be at least one local jock, although I don't know if she VT's her show or not.

There are lots of HD2s on in Columbus. 106.7's should be on in the next couple of weeks.

Happy to see the live vs. tracked discussion. It just goes to show you...with enough practice, live can be executed as well as tracked!

Best,
JbC

I know folks on here will complain but voice tracking can be done well enough that you can think its live... and heck if you throw in the time checking and weather temp annouce features of Nexgen setup right, you wont know the difference :)

What difference does it make if a person sits here reading the liners and time checks, weather, etc. or it is voicetracked and uses virtual voice technology? There is very little "personality" radio anymore so it's all the same to me. Besides that I'm the world's oldest computer geek, or nearly so anyway.

Since the only HD Radio I have is the HD100 and a Tek Amplfied AM and FM Antennas. I get better night time reception for WVKO AM with it. Then I only used it for WOSU FM HD-2 and 100.3 HD2 and HD3. (So I can hear the 1430 AM feed) I don't care much for VT.
