If Club Phusion goes on one of KIIS-FM's HD channels, I'm buying. I know I'll just be wasting my money though.

I think that LA HD-2's should simulcast SF sister stations, and SF HD-2's should simulcast LA sister stations, so KIIS's HD-2 would be WiLD and KBIG's HD-2 would be Star 101.3, and vice versa for WiLD and Star's HD-2's any thoughts?

If I just bought a HD compatible radio, would that be all I need for HD radio? I don't know much about HD radio and just thought I'd ask while it was on my mind. I may use it for when I have to listen to WWVA.

Yes - all you need is a receiver with an HD2 band. In my experience, the HD2 stations come in as clearly as their HD1 counterparts, I live in a major metropolitan area (San Francisco) where reception is good. I've heard that HD2 reception in outlying parts of the Bay Area can be spotty.
KIIS HD 1 And KIIS HD 2 Been Out Since Thursday At 12pm
I bought the Sony FM/AM Digital Radio, XDR-S10HDiP on Amazon.com for about $140. It's a desktop radio (not portable). I stretch the long t-shaped antenna, which comes with it, up to the ceiling and I get great HD reception. The only listen to a handful of HD 2 and 3 signals but the sound quality of the regularly programmed FM (HD1) and AM stations sound fantastic to me.

At least when the HD signal drops on an HD1, it reverts back to the analog (which is usually in synch -- although KROQ's HD1 is currently a half-second off from its analog signal so it sounds like it's skipping when it switches between HD and analog). When the signal drops on an HD2, the radio falls silent for several seconds while it tries to reacquire the signal lock, which can be annoying and, if it's a bad reception area and it happens often, can be frustrating enough to make someone change the station even if they like the song since they're missing half of it.
