HD radio's: Where in the world are the radios?

I just looked at the Best Buy Official website, searched for HD Radios and found a few "HD Radio ready" in dash radios there starting at about $179.99 the only problem is you then have to buy a "HD Radio tuner" later and for how much? My guess is at about $149.99 total price begining at $329.98 + installation and taxes. I'm sorry but why do I need to spend all this additional cash? I've already got my portable digital music storage device (4000+ songs and growing)with an FM transmitter so using it in my car is no problem, AM/FM radio, CD/mp-3 player in my car, am able to burn a CD with any music selections stored on my computer in a very short time, play my entire music collection randomly at home from my computer, whenever I want in crystal clear sound.

Would not most consumers rather spend this additional cash on another tank of gas, medicial bills or clothes for their school age children, pay rent, electric bill, gas bill, insurance bill, cable bill, or a host of other more pressing expenses? This thing called HD Radio is someones pipedream and its way to late to sell this new source of radio to anyone en mass. Why bother? The whole issue you folks are talking about is irrelevant to most consumers because they have way more important things to be worried about, much less HD radio broadcasting in CD quality, most could hardly care! Go to the local Best Buy store and ask them I did! It's hard enough just to come up with the money to buy one of these HD TV's that is being forced down their throats already.

Besides all that, Where in the world are all the radios? Surely not in any stores here in California!

Wow! Where do we start. Why don't you do a search...answers to a lot of what you present are here...

And by the way, I'm thrilled that you can speak for "all consumers"!

I figured I would get your typical response and not one word addressing the points or the questions I raised! You are so predictable! I was not speaking for all consumers just some in the store while I was there, and you should learn to read!
HD radio is DOA and will forever stay that way. And we all know what side your on, so why don't you go and perform a biologically improbable bodily fuction on yourself!!!

Why don't you address the questions I raised? Cat got your tongue? No horsepower in your pea brain? What is it? Again HD Radio is DOA and will stay that way forever!!

"Besides all that, Where in the world are all the radios? Surely not in any stores here in California!"

That's alright California is scheduled to fall into the Pacific any day now. ::)

Here we go again, IBOCRocks/SaynotoIBOC/SayNoToSayNoToIBOC - what's the matter, don't you have any arguments to counter the article, just like with RadioStarOne's original post ?

RadioStarOne: "I figured I would get your typical response and not one word addressing the points or the questions I raised! You are so predictable!"

From the posted article:

"Until retailers have product in the stores and knowledgeable people to demonstrate them, HD Radio will not be a factor in any market. XM and Sirius have home, car units and now portable units available. They are recognized names to the consumer and have point-of-sale displays in a majority of the stores visited. This problem, along with the popularity of iPods, may prevent HD Radio from reaching the "critical mass" needed to be an accepted form of entertainment."

RadioStarOne is right - you have no arguments to counter the truth about IBOC ! :D

What happened to you running away from me because I scared you? I guess that was another lie, I'm sure.

And, BTW, you were already proven to be lying about me using multiple names, so we'll stop that before it starts.

IBOCRocks/SaynotoIBOC/SayNoToSayNoToIBOC, why don't you try posting some counter-arguments of substance ? ;)

Don't need to. You're the one with the lies!

So, answer the question...You said you were done with me because I "scare you". Yet here you are!

Another lie?
