I'm visiting San Antonio. I'm so disappointed with HD. 96.1 and 98.5 hd2 are down. I don't see nothing interesting with HD sub channel. I miss LA.
 
COX did nothing with HD, they own a lot of the stations. To bad because in Houston they got a good decent HD-2 selection, just wish they would take away at least one of the 2 smooth jazz stations from HD-2.
 
yeah, like everywhere else, HD radio hasn't caught on in SA. I was just talking about finding something listenable and somewhat unique. KROV fits that bill.
 
Those of you who have smartphones can download Tunein from the Android or iPhone markets, and select KROV as a preset. If ten of you do it, that will double the number of people listening on HD.
 
Actually, 96.1, 100.3, 98.5, 97.3 and 101.1 HD are all down.

And what's up with 98.5's signal? These last few days it seems to come in a lot weaker, at least where I'm at. It used to come in great with no static. Did they move towers or is the transmitter down?

I haven't been able to get them since Monday.

There is a new tower being erected right next to the old one near Helotes. I would imagine that all of these stations are on back up sites until the tower is completed. This occurred several years ago when the tower on top of the Tower of the Americas was rebuilt. If someone gets out that way maybe they can take a look and give us an update!

And 101.1 is hardly listenable on my Walkman coming down from Starlight Terrace and I-35 on Monday.
Is KONO's backup in Fredericksburg? Sure sounds like the old signal of then KFAN.
