HD Update

I noticed a few days ago that CBS has added 94.1 HD-3; which is a full simulcast of WFAN-AM, New York. Does anyone know if CBS ever plans on upgrading the Seminole tower signals (92.5 & 98.7) to HD? I've found it curious that ever since Wild moved to 94.1, they've kept the traditional jazz format on the HD2 channel where it was. Now with WFAN on the frequency as well, it's become quite a collection of programs which all cater to different audiences. Although I realize that the WFAN simulcast orders probably come from up top, it seems odd that they'd choose to broadcast it on 94.1 and not 99.5 (I realize 1010AM is on HD3) or 104.7.

Why would CBS want to spend the money to put IBUZ on 92.3, 92.7, 98.5, and 98.9 in this bad economy just so 10 people can hear 2 more HD stations? If it doesn't have HD now, it will never have HD in the future.

That said, I hope 93.3 HD-2 is good.

I love HD. The quality is great, and I listen to the HD2 channels more than the HD1. The Best Buy Insignia ipod sized FM HD Radio is great and is on sale for $39.99 now. I dont understand what some people have against HD. I Love It!

Some people do love it, some people hate it. I have it at home and in the car, and both work great...and I'm not rich. I'm a DXer though, so I do find it annoying when I'm trying to listen to an adjacent frequency.... but I have the holy-roly translators to hate on for that as well. CBS is just following the national push to get HD out there, as the other companies are also doing. Digital world, digitized radio... It's coming eventually. At least they aren't phasing out the bands altogether.. (yet) ...
