Wioq-3-Russian, wstw-2-back to wdel simulcast, wisx-3-smooth jazz same as 2 probably gearing up for a new format. That's all folks for now, everything else status quo.

Was this the reason for the addition of an HD3, still simulcasting Jazz from the HD2. Will mix resurrect on the HD3?

It would seem pointless to put Mix on HD3, as the flip of the main channel shows the format is pretty redundant. (Maybe dump it there for a while to run out the contracts of Seacrest and Mario Lopez's shows?)

Otherwise, I could see iHeart launching their 90s Pop Channel on the HD3 to compliment Real, but that's about it.

How about standards, to compliment the jazz format, many people consider those two cousins music wise. CBS does a great job with the strip format but I doubt any of their local properties would try it, although 96.5 HD3 seems like a super waste.

I don't understand why WOGL HD2 is still all 70s. To me, i think an all 50s,60s and 70s oldies or 80s and 90s channel would make a lot more sense then just an all 70s channel.

I understand WXTU HD2 is an all-current country channel? That sounds labor-intensive, since someone has to record new songs into the system and pull older ones out, every few weeks. I thought most HD channels would be something like 70s Oldies or Smooth Jazz, which can run for weeks without any staff people tinkering with it.

That WMGK HD2 channel sounds like something I'd want to check out. I don't suppose there is streaming for it?

You mean "load new songs in the system." It's not done in real time. Some places have drop & drag. It's pretty quick & easy. The songs have to be put in the database at some point anyway. You can program songs to auto-delete after so many weeks. It's all pretty easy.

The main thing is it's a way to play currents without adding them to the playlist. You're introducing them to your listeners in a no-risk situation.

For some reason WMGK HD2 does not stream, if you like the surf sound, Jan and Dean, beach boys, ripcords, British Invasion, Beatles, DC5, Animals, Freddie and the Dreamers, Searches, Hermans Hermits, Girl singers, Connie Francis, Lesley Gore, Annette, Peggy March, Country Classics, Cash, Conway, Campbell, Motown, Tops, Temps, Marvaletts, Girl groups Shangralas, Toys, Instrumentals, Santo and Johnny, Toronados, Walter Wanderley, Teen idols, Frankie, Fabian, Bobby, Soul singers, Marvin, Otis, Garage and Psych bands, American bands Sam the Sham, Question mark, tear jerkers, Last Kiss, Teenangle, plus a good dose of 50's R&B and pop and even some doo wop they are for you. I guess because they are a sub and really don't care about ratings they just let the tunes fly, no consultant they play plenty of "oh wow" cuts. I am surprised they never make the ratings, whereas WRFF HD2 shows up.
