Thanks Mike, yeah I checked some of those out, they sounded good. I noticed that Mix's HD-2 channel played a few dance tracks. They sounded good, all they need to do is add a good dance mixshow over the weekends. Wonder when the HD-2 channels will start having DJ's any ideas?

I have no idea at all when DJ's will be added to the HD2 channels. I seriously doubt anytime soon. Hell over half the stations on their main or only channel don't have air staff half the time and voice track half of the time left. That means that about 25% of the time through a whole week that a station is live. Mainly morning and evening drive time times, and The Point doesn't even have anyone morning drive time.

It's not a wonder why so many very talented air personalities have started their own companies or gone to work else where outside of broadcasing. Or those that have a great deal of talent that are looking for almost anything to get back on the air and hopefully a paycheck that pays the bills. There are a good amount of very talented air personalities in Houston that are out of a job. It is a shame that the Clear Channels, Cox's, Cumulus's and Radio One's, etc. don't realize that the cost of an air personalities salary is small in comparision to what that individual can bring to the station in the way of faithful listeners and advertisers.

Zoe Bonet of Sunny 99 who does the "Love Songs" show is a good example of an air personality that has many fans and brings a sizable audience to Sunny 99 and not the music. Originally Zoe Bonet was to be replaced by Deliah, the show that CC bought and was going to put on all their major market "Soft Rock" stations in the 7pm to midnight slot. Somehow good judgement was made and Houston is about the only major market that does not have Deliah on in Zoe Bonet's time slot. If CC had replaced Zoe with Deliah, Sunny would have lost a great deal of listeners and Deliah would not have regained them as listeners. I have had the (mis)fortune of hearing Deliah's show several times while in Western New York (gag). End of story.
