HDFM is easier than HDTV.

I think HDFM is easier to DX than HDTV. After playing around with the 2, I found that HDFM was easier. Now I can receive Houston HDFM 84 miles with just a dipole antenna, HDTV I could not even get Houston with my winegard TV antenna 23 feet up in the air. I'm glad Victoria has HDTV. I would not get any TV if they didn't. Even them could be stronger, but 75% isn't bad.

Uh........

*sighs; shakes head in disbelief that someone is yet again confusing ATSC and IBAC*

I get between 50 and 100 percent greater distance on HD FM that I get from HDTV on the same AntennaCraft antenna, with Channel Master rotor and Winegard preamp. In fact, the lack of signal reach on terrestrial HDTV broadcasts, even with an expensive antenna and rotor, is quite discouraging to me. With FM HD, I get all the stations I enjoy within a 100+ mile radius. I can't get all of the DTV stations in the Greensboro market, just 60 miles away. Bummer!
