HDRADIO.COM RE-LAUNCHED

More evidence of typical cluelessness at iBiquity. If I were them - and I'm thankful I'm not - I would definitely stay away from terms like "buzz."

Yeah, they just can't leave those RMS Titanic deck chairs alone, can they?

It was reported last year that Ibiquity had raised an additional 150 million in cash from various VC firms. At last count they had 115 employees and a monthly burn rate in excess of 2 million. But now that CPB funding for public radio station conversions has nearly dried up and the conversion of commercial stations to digital has essentially ground to a halt, the death of the Zune and the overall lack of interest/availability in HD Radio products for the home, can Ibiquity make it just on existing license fees and in-dash audio products?

With the possible exception of the automobile market it appears that the company has hit a ceiling with nowhere to go.

The traffic on hdradio.com (unique monthly visitors) is about that of a decent local radio station website. It's as impressive as the junk science it touts.
