Headline Prime Weekend

CNN Headline News' "Headline Prime" format is now on weekends, starting this weekend. It is a rehash of the best from the previous week. (Lineup is in the exact same order as the weekday lineup.)

Before that at 5:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday, Headline News is reairing "Open House" from CNN. It is not branded as Headline Prime, just CNN Headline News.

I guess this is the next step in the death of the old 24/7 headlines format. I recon within the next couple of years, Headline News will be gone.

And going full circle at that -- remember when Headline News was "CNN2" when they started up in 1982?

Get Rid off Nancy Grance, and CNN Prime, go back to CNN Headline. THat was is CNN HEadline is for. News (not junk or Politics), that can go into CNN 1.
