Dan Halyburton, OUT. Lon Bason, OUT. Hollywood Henderson, OUT. Most of the sales staff, OUT. More to come...

All Access says:That leaves SUSQUEHANNA/DALLAS VP/GM DAN BENNETT in place to oversee Classic Rocker KDBN (93.3 THE BONE), Country KPLX, N/T KLIF-A, and Sports KTCK-A-KTDK (THE TICKET). How can one person effectively manage 4 stations? This ain't a McDonald's franchise. Or is it?

Hollywood will find something if he wants to remain in Radio. Hell of a talent and a genuine nice guy. He helped me land a gig at the Wolf last year.I hope Smokey and John Cook make the cut. They're good people too. In my opinion i think the Wolf slipped because Susquehanna just wan't putting in the effort recently to keep it on top while KSCS got aggressive promotionally. Not taking away anything from KSCS. they're an excellent station but KSCS/WOLF are apples and oranges.

My guess is that Cumulus needed to keep at least one person on board that knows what's going on at each specific station. They couldn't find such a person, so they kept Dan instead. But I would expect that, if they haven't already fired him -- then offered him a temporary 3-month "consulting" position -- that they will unceremoniously cut him loose once the Cumulus people have been properly familiarized with the mess they've bought.I'm awaiting word on Jeff K's future...somebody please spread some cheer when they hear.

Great another company to which logic is only a word in the dictionary. So much for my hopes of landing a job board opping overnights at the Bone.

Anyone who is actually surprised by the Cumulus moves? I know too many people who worked for stations that got snapped up by Cumulus that found their jobs no longer existed. If is actually true that the new company has let go most of the engineering staff, this could greatly affect the new arrangement with the Dallas Cowboys. Although the actual game broadcasts will be handled by Midcom, I'm guessing that The Ticket has a major engineering part of game day broadcasts also.It is truly a sad day when good people lose their jobs for bad reasons.John

To all of my friends at Susquehanna, I am sorry to hear what has happened. At one time a great operation staffed with the best people in the business both on and off the air, it's a shame to break up a winning cluster. It's usually the people who are the most loyal and have the most to lose who get axed.Take care my friends, I feel your pain.-Pipes.

If cumulus looses Hugh Beaver it will be a sad day in broadcasting. CBS or CC or anybody would be wise to scoop him up.

I spent two years on the air on KLIF from 2000-2002, and it was the best 2 years of my career. We fought the good fight, did a lot of good radio, and made a lot of friendships. Jeff Hillery is a saint, putting up with what he had to do, and AnnMarie Petitto, my producer and APD made coming to work a scream every day.In the end, I got replaced by that hump Bill O'Reilly, but I thank everyone I worked with at Susquehanna with the possible exception of Dan Bennett, who treated me with disdain from the first day I got there. I guess I wasn;t his cup of tea.Sad day for a great company.Scott Anderson

Bobby Mitchell also gone. And lest we forget to mention COUNTLESS numbers of good behind the scenes folks. I knew Hollywood well in my time up there. I doubt he ever comes here but if he does, I wish you the best.

I was a big fan of the Wolf. However AmyB grates on my nerves. Think it was a mistake putting her on in afternoons. Bobby i thought was kinda bland and Cory was just ok. I think The Wolf's success came from the days of Brian Phillips. Paul Williams did ok but recently they have seemed to have lost there way musically That being said, The Wolf overall still sounds better than KSCS. The only thing going on over there is Dorsey. The night guy sounds like a bad copy of the afternoon guy.My friend tells me lon Basin was "Small Market" thinking. The rest, just make too much money. Cumulus will be setting new pay scales for everyone. I bet the new night jock doesn't make more than $25-30k and the new morning anchor will make less than $125KThe decline of radio in the 5th largest market continues.... :-[

Do they have a suggestion box? Amy "Arizona is nice year round" B and BaD Radio would be high on my "bye bye" list. ;D

I've been listening to The Wolf since they've had the stream. IMHO they were the most orginal sounding country station in the nation. I would listen often to steal imaging ideas and to get myself "pumped up" for my shift here. Great airstaff, great promotions and they always sounded as if they were plugged into the D/FW area. It always appeared as if Susquehanna was a thrilling place to work too.It truly is a sad day.

from AllaccessA trip to KDBN's site (www.933thebone.com) finds that the morning show page -- featuring market vet HUMBLE BILLY HAZE and partner DONOVAN -- is missing.

Per the Hardline the only on-air person at KTCK to get cut was Jimmy "the Saint" Christopher.

Cumulus is a Clear Channel wannabe. No one is safe when working for Cumulus.

Too bad about Jimmy Christoper. A genuine good guy. It always happens to the nice guys.Jimmy and I were good friends when I worked at the Ticket. Hope he lands somewhere soon.

The only people who are safe working for Cume-less is the corporate butt-kisser. No creative thinking is required...only follow what you're told and you're fine. Some people are even named program directors and operations managers by doing that.

Who is "Midcom" and what do they do?If is actually true that the new company has let go most of the engineering staff, this could greatly affect the new arrangement with the Dallas Cowboys. Although the actual game broadcasts will be handled by Midcom, I'm guessing that The Ticket has a major engineering part of game day broadcasts also.
