The PPM is apparently bad for the format, because it reveals that all those people who write down 8 hours of listening every day weren't really listening that long.
However, being owned by a small independent company, WLOQ might be a little more inclined to stay the course with the format than the corporate clusters who have 8 other formats ready to go.
LOQ has switched to smooth A/C. They play a lot of pop vocals and oldies, and the same small group of instrumentals but they are mostly covers of songs that are 30-40 years old. Orlando is a young market so if PPM came in they would probably hit hard since they are basically a hybrid between oldies and easy listening. They're a heritage station though so they will probably get a certain amount of loyalists who write in the diaries but listen to CDs or online stations that play the music LOQ doesn't play anymore.
