It got distorted, it was only 2/3 true. With no response here, a call back to Nashville confirmed that. I thought something was wrong with the rumor, because I'd been told they were going local in the time slot. They are not picking up the Michael Graham show for 9-11 am, but bringing Michael DelGiorno out from Tulsa's KFAQ to do a local show here from 9-1. That's why I always want to confirm rumors before I believe them.
Editorial comment: It's funny how, when the Zone first signed on as Talk & Sports, they seemed to try to program against Supertalk's weaknesses. Their talk didn't appear to work, and the Zone saw the light to go to All Sports. Now after all this time, Supertalk seems to find itself programming against the Zone's greatest weakness, by going live and local during middays.
In the wake of losing WTN, Liddy's folks found a home for two hours of his show over at WGNS. Of course, that'll cover only a fraction of what 99.7's covered for him all these years.
