John Dennis just ranted about a member of the Cinncinnati Bengals who got liquored up and got into trouble. So if I'm following correctly, it's ok to get liquored up and leave messages such as "I'll kick your ass" while in a stupor, but not for a football player?

He is probably hoping the same thing that most public entities do...people are stupid with short term memories. Once it's under the rug, out of sight, out of mind. Then he can rant on it with the screeners eliminating any reprisals. You want proof? Look at Martha Stewart and Gary Glitter. No matter what you do, put enough time behind it and it's liek you never did it in the first place.

I didn't think of the screeners eliminating reprisals. He included in the buzzer beater segment, when they don't take anymore calls for the day...how ironic. They usually mention athlete-goings-on throughout the show.

for someone who seems to despise D&C as much as you do...you seem to listen quite a bit...I think D&C have upped their game, so to speak, quite a bit from a few years ago. With Howard gone, i'm sure they will see a spike in their ratings

It's OK if you're boozed up if you're Butch From The Cape... or was... past-tense. It just points to D&C's hypocrisy... they're likely to rant against criminals but, when he was alive, they had special breakfasts for an ex-con.

Well, for a sports show and information, they are good...I do like that, and have never said that I didn't. I do, to use your word, despise their take on non-sports related topics, which is ALWAYS full of hypocrisy and discrimination and bigotry and one-sidedness.

Samantha Sang said it best...

EMOTION. As a talk show host, your job is to evoke emotion, good or bad. They obviously have that effect on you...even if that emotion is to get pissed at them for what you see as character flaws, they do strike an emotion with you.

But I always thought that when there are 2 hosts, one is supposed to be the devil's advocate so in discussions, any listener will agree with one of them, right?
