Heard on KTCK

I heard a liner on The Ticket this afternoon. "The Hardline: Mike Rhyner and Corby Davidson"

Its not the exact liner, but the omission of Greg Wiliams....HHHHHMMMMMMMMM

What kind of context?

I've heard their recorded stuff and as of this weekend they were still mentioning Greggo as part of the HArdline.

Was it a live mention, a la "Join the HL, Mike & Corby at wherever?

It was one of those rejoiner liners with the imaging voice when coming back from a break

Are there any changes on the website?? I can't look at it, my IT facists have that site blocked
It does seem only a matter of time before they make an official 'greggo's gone' announcement.
Do you think Catman would come on-air and discuss like the Laddy did when Coop was ushered out???

It might make for better radio than Rocco Vs. Gordo

PD

Mucho speculation. There are so many contradicting thing the lil' Ticket is throwing down:

1. They use Greggo's drops now more than ever, but refuse to speak his name.
2. If he is gone, then be gone. Quit teasing the listener, because if the buyout is the only option, I guarantee that the drops are there for a false sense of hope until the next book.
3. And, if that buyout is true, I think KESN and KLLI need to check out our lovely musings in the recent past. There's a winner in there.

I heard that return and Greggo was omitted and replaced by Corby, it was a newly produced promo........And I have missed some parts of the station today, but I don't think I have heard a Greggo drop today. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Greg-o is GONE from the ticket and ESPN will not pick him up...he's terrible as a host...good as part of the ensamble.
I'm sure all of you can agree the Hardline is not as good without Greg, too bad he has an addictive personality...Corby blows as the #2. As far as going to ESPN...why, he doesn't talk sports except the occasional baseball. I listen to ESPN for real sports and Ticket for fart jokes, boobs and concert calender. TheTicket guys get all there information from ESPN or the newspaper...hell they quote ESPN TV guys all the time.

Real sports info- ESPN
Yuk Monkey, over clapper, over cusser, concert calender, comunnity quick hits, boobs....mindless entertainment- Ticket

MMMMMM- Me thinks that Trip's ESPN slip is showing... Tell your boss you tried to sell us on Network Sports talk... And failed! ;D

Hey Tripp
I tuned over to ESPN so I could hear some real sports on a real sports station.

Can you tell me what time the Rangers, Stars and Mavs post game shows are on. I was wanting to hear the Cowboy game but must have listened at the wrong time. They do carry all the Mavericks, Cowboys, Rangers press conferences live don't they. How about Jerry Jones twice a week? Avery Johnson, Ron Washington (during the season). Oh yeah, how about Troy Aikman, they have him on there too? Razor Reaugh maybe?
I must be confused, I guess I must have heard all that over on a non-sports station... my mistake..

Nice first time!.......funny how the non-sport stations "out sports" the real sports station ;)

What would really be a novelty on KTCK is if they ever talk about sports. A double novelty would be if they knew anything about sports.

LOL...

LOVE it...guys what I am saying is I like both stations but for different reasons and quite frankly I do not listen to Ticket for sports information but for the guy talk, just happens to be my preference and I bet I am not the only person in D/FW that goes to ESPN for sports updates. I am not from Dallas...so quite frankly small talk about Cowboys and Rangers does not interest me. I want to hear about all college football, MLB, NBA and other sports issues. Hearing the Ticket fawn over Jerry Jone (did anyone hear the Norm and Jerry interview the other day??? wow, tough hard hitting) and his empire.

I enjoy hearing about ALL the teams from all sports just as much as the Cowboys and other local teams...I get to hear about the teams I root for and I get to hear sports issues that have national implications.

This morning I had on the Ticket and what were they talking about.....Pirates and I do not mean the Pittsburg Pirates but the Jack Sparrow kind of Pirates.

What was on ESPN....interviewing Peter King talking about that slug Bobby Patrino bailing on the Falcons and whether or not Arkansas players and families can trust him.

ISaidSo- No, not an ESPN guy...actually I work in music industry..."Me think you work for the Ticket". I am new to this site and noticed you post quite a bit and always positive Ticket and negative ESPN. I am just a sports fan no other motives. I am more than happy to tell you who I work for if you will.... I was just making my thoughts known...isn't that what boards and blogs are for? Can't we all just get along. ;)

First Time- If memory serves me right...and I do not know everything about both stations.....ESPN also has Mavs games, Cowboys press confernce which frankly I find boring on both stations, Rangers press....no Jerry but I am sure that is a Ticket deal only due to them carring the games, Ron Washington, who cares? Razor...once again who cares...go to a game it's obvious no one cares about Stars anymore. This coming from a guy that went to 15-20 games a year pre-strike. Been to 2 this year.....

Guys, have agreat day!

Oh, and on the off chance this is not a bit, but sheer delusion, just because you find time in our busy day to talk about a TiVo, various cable programming, scattered T&A and flatulence doesn't mean at all you know nothing about sports, it just means you aren't on the ESPN payroll.

Or should I throw up Norm's resume in your grill and a few of the other guys' propensity to sporting folklore (i.e. Rhyns, Sterm) to remind of some semblance of intelligence they've acquired.

Trip,
I don't love the Ticket, in fact I have ripped them on here for not really being sports anymore... But give me a break on the "I'm not from here" stuff... ESPN talks about the east coast, I was listening this morning when the ESPN had Jason Starks on talking baseball, and the Ticket was talking Cowboys, easy choice for Dallas sports fans, and guess what, the ratings back that up! So, you and the 3 other people who want to hear Network Sports talk enjoy it, but until ESPN get the fact you must have local sports talk in a major market, then we will suffer.....

yep...I Said So...you work for the Ticket! lol

No other reason to be so adamant!

Funny, ESPN has no listeners? What makes you say that? Because Ryner tells you that? PLEASE...show me the ratings...and if you have them that just proves that you work for the Ticket.

Guys, it's been fun but I have a job and life and wish you luck so....signing off!

Ticket- guy Talk
ESPN- SPORRRTS

I don't know which interview you're talking about, but listening to Jerry relating the story about his dad's horny baboon that killed it's mate and ate it's baby and then died because of sexual abstinence somehow made me a better person that day.
