Heard on The Fan Yesterday...

going in to commercial break: "We have 100,000 watts... we just don't have a lot of listeners. Please tell your friends that we don't suck as much as we used to."

That's hilarious and sad at the same time!

Its good to admit your faults.

At least someone had the guts to say something like that.

I heard that spot too and actually felt kind of bad for them. I guess the Fan has finally admitted they aren't the ratings powerhouse they'd have us believe.

I was a reg. listener during the Ben & Skin era. (I thought they werent given a chance). I would call in & one time Ben picked me up while on hold during break & asked me to tell all my friends about their show. I have NEVER had any host ever talk to me off air. I guess I didnt tell enough fans. Of course I stopped listening when THE FAN came up with the "one call per week per show rule".... I dont think a show needs to be caller driven, but when you have no listeners why piss them off?

I have never heard that but it doesn't matter to me since I always change my name when I call in.
