Heard WRMF in Key West

I hadn’t been to Key West since 2008, and I was surprised to pick up WRMF there. While there’s nothing else on the 97.9 frequency either in the Keys or in Naples/Fort Myers, I was surprised that signal had that much reach. Was it tropo? Or is WRFM a regular in the Lower Keys?

Tropo. The signal doesn't get past Homestead without any atmospheric enhancement.

Thank you. The tropo was strong; the station was strong when driving between Smathers and Duval Street.

Surprised WAVK 97.7 didn't somewhat block it, was it off? Otherwise definitely not a regular.
WAVK was broadcasting. It didn’t interfere at all with WRMF. A bunch of the Fort Myers stations were coming in as well, but I expected that. I remember hearing 102.9 out of Fort Myers last time I was in Key West.
