Hearing baseball playoff games live

I tuned in to 890 today and heard a play during the sox game.

Tuned over to 680, heard the same play five or so seconds later.

Is RKO concerned that Joe C. might say "Holy ----, can you believe it??"

Don't quote me on this, but I believe there are two different networks covering the game. 890 uses ESPN's Coverage and RKO is one of the 2 flagship Stations of The Redsox Radio Network.

You're exactly right, which is why I wonder why RKO's broadcast is clearly in delay during the game. Is this a fallout of the Janet Jackson thing?

at our house, the radio and TV sync up perfectly. Maybe half a second off. But now that Goofner will be doing the rest of the games... well, I suppose it's still better than McCarver and Buck

I was quite saddened to hear that Geffner will be doing the rest of the games.

Compeating FM stations in the Prov. I believe ESPN (WSKO) is supposed to have marketplace NLCS rights, over the RS station WEEI-FM.

I had the game on 103.7 in RI on Sunday while the TV was on . . . the radio was actually ahead of TBS, at least when I had it on.

>>RKO running in IBOC?

is it possible they were still in "7 second delay" from talk shows?
The one and only time I attended a North Shore Spirit game (Lynn, MA) WWZN was on a delay
of 7 seconds or so--at the start. Got fixed later. They must have still been in 7 sec. delay
(they don't do I-BlOCk, do they?)

No IBOC on WRKO. All ALSC games on WRKO. No wedesday games for ALSC. If Sox goes to World Series only Flagship station can carry local brodcast. Rest on New England radio coverage via ESPN Radio.
