Heather Deluca WAYV ...SOjo 104.5

Ok I went to college with Heather where we both were on the air at WDBK....I was on the air at WAYV before her and she came as i left.. I am her friend....I will not pull punches...she was really bad on WDBK....I never thought she was very good on WAYV, I think it was tough to fill Christina Joyce's shoes as she had a big following in the market. Heather always seemed to rehearsed and almost like a part-timer trying to be full time....so there is the bad critique.....

So i have heard her on SOJO 1049...She sounds great!!! It is a complete 180....We all know sojo bleeds into Philly...she sounds like she belongs...Her flow is better and much more natural...I think a change did her well....I also congradulate her new PD because this is the best she has ever sounded....Just think if the idiots at Equity actually cared and worked with their talent...I was on the air there for Four years and had one aircheck with the PD....one!!! I asked for advice and direction and was often pushed off...My point is Heather has improved so much...and this is definatley not biased because I was never a fan of her on the air, we are friends and she knows this, but she deserves credit she's doing a great job and SOJO is a great fit for her!!!

I worked for both. Paul , I agree, was much better than Tommy Frank in many aspects...totally friendly, great person to be around. I was fed up with asking for direction by the time he was promoted. I would think he would request an air check however....

This post was not about me or bashing WAYV or their past PDs..it was about Heather Deluca...she sounds great on SOJO ..what do you think??

I think WAYV was at its best when Tommy Frank (Foley) was at the helm....many people took cheap shots at him for his selection of Modern Rock/Classic Alternative cuts, and of course the stupid, jealous, where is the urban music fools, who ridiculed him, would never let up...his untimely death was/is a tragic mark on radio history....he is sorely missed in the radio community....

It depends on what you want from WAYV..if you want a Hot ac yes it was better with Tommy F....If you wanted a CHR it was better with Paul K

This is the first time I have ever got annoyed on this board. I was Trying to give Kudos to Heather or at least see if other people have seen improvement and my comments have made it a debate over PDs for WAYV...i really wish I left out my personal experience at WAYV and just asked about Heather.

WAYV morphed from a CHR, to an adult CHR, and is now Hot AC. 99.3 Kiss FM is now Atlantic City's CHR station, and it leans rhythmic to still appeal to the Buzz audience and differentiate itself from WAYV. WAYV is the most played station along the Boardwalk.

Hey Instigator...just curious as to who you are...I did part time there in 2000 and 2001 ish...before that too...

So just wondering who you are lol...

You know who I am Mark...lol .I'm the guy who coined the phrase "Fuzzy Lap Flounder"

BTW Nick thanks for the history lesson on WAYV ...Your point had nothing to do with my statement because neither tommy nor Paul program the station now...just saying

Music shark I actually thought you were my friend Mark D that worked with me at my WAYV days..I was Part time at AYV my air name was Gator

Ahh ok...my air name was Mark Summers...(yes the stupid dudes name from Double Dare) lol...my air name that I used during my days in Cali/south carolina/louisiana was Sharkman, but couldn't use that b/c of The Shark so...Mark Summers it was.

What's up with you these days bro?
