Heather Moore on KPHO

Heather Moore did a live report on KPHO at 6:30pm this evening (undoubtedly she was telling like it is). Hopefully, they have permanently hired her. My prediction: she will soon be replacing one of the anchors at KPHO.

I think you may onto something regarding Heather Moore. Since they fired all the good back up anchors it's really been a bit of skeleton crew regarding solid news anchors at KPHO. I think she would be a good fit for serving as primary back up anchor for all newscasts including nights, mornings and weekends. That way when anchors take vacations or off because they are ill KPHO has a good back up anchor ready and able to perform said duties.

I will have to go back on my promise and actually watch KPHO again. I may check and see if Heather is working the weekend shift at all this weekend.

Heather is working as a freelance reporter at KPHO for the time being. She'll pop up from time to time throughout the week.

Although there has been some turnover, it's not quite correct to say that they've fired all the backup anchors- people in the TV business come and go frequently. KPHO has added a few new faces in the last few months.. both on air and behind the scenes.

You should check out the other changes and weigh in on your likes and dislikes!

I do miss some of the anchors and reporters who are "no longer with the station" -- Christina Wofford, Diana Williams, and Omadelle Nelson were my favorites. Among the new group, Pat McReynolds, currently co-anchoring mornings, is a standout.
