High Desert Heftel stations sold in Victor Valley

Heftel Broadcasting has filed to sell these stations to Anco Media Group, LLC in Miami (owners of WBGF Belle Glade and WZFL Islamorada as well as W228BY Miami). The stations are KRXV Yermo, KRXV-FM1 Victorville, KIXW-FM Lenwood, KHYZ Mountain Pass, KHYZ-FM 2 Las Vegas, KHWY Essex, KIXF Baker for 1.4 million.

KHDR Lenwood and KHRQ Baker are not included in this sale.

The KRXV/KHWY/KHYZ group will probably become dance outlets. What will be interesting is whether or not Heftel decides to keep the country format on KIXW-FM/KIXF, and, if not, what format will replace it.

So is Dance EDM most popular in Miami, Las Vegas, and Seattle? It seems to be working on radio in these three cities. Everywhere else its been a failure. Or maybe we have an operator(s) that knows how to make this very niche format successful.

Well rated in Mexico City, too. But nowhere else in Latin America.
 
I'm within range of KHYZ as it's a fairly good rimshot into Vegas. I'm guessing I'm recieving the Mountain Pass TX as the low power Black Mountain TX is heavily directional away from my location. Looking forward to seeing what changes
