Heidi and Frank Go Where?

It's clear the H&F webcast/podcast is leaving its current location at the Lovitz club in Universal Studios. The hints appear to indicate H&F are headed for a regular gig in radio. Are they the Mark and Brian replacements at KLOS or is there something brewing with Jack Silver in his new role? I guess the other alternative is keeping the webcast subscription recording in a strip mall like Leykis...
At an estimated 7000 subscribers at $50 a year plus advertising - could they even clear $500,000 annually?

I'm thinking H&F are headed back to terrestial for some regular cash while trying to maintain a subscription model for video and premium content.

Monday is the big reveal.

My understanding is that H&F (going back to when they were FH&F) like to do this right before a new contract announcement, make people think they're being canned. In any case, who says that KLOS is getting rid of Brian? It's only Mark who's retiring.

I didn't hear it, but apparently word from the grapevine is that they announced they had moved from the Lovitz Podcast Theater to Hollywood Blvd. Okay then.

In other news, I took my dog for a walk today.

Heh. It's funny when you go to their Facebook page how many people you see posting, "I didn't listen today, what was the big announcement?" So much for their devoted fanbase.

H&F moved out of Lovitz and are announcing something else in a few weeks. I don't think it's a move to the M&B slot for their new studio looked to be permanent and is in Hollywood, not at the KLOS station.

Some say the move will be a a bigger role at SiriusXM. They had slots on SirIUSXM talk channel but they've stopped promoting it so it's unclear whether they're still on satellite. Frank is keeping most of his ToadHop broadcasters so I'm guessing H&F and ToadHop are doing some syndication deal.

I'm guessing it's something to do with Jack Silver's new gig or maybe a satellite arrangement.

H&F are doing one last club event. Perhaps it's because they make no money but its been hinted they could not do anymore due to their schedule.

Do any traditional radio insiders know what's happening to M&B's slot?

Don Barrett seems to be implying that they are the new morning show on KLOS. If that is the case then I would certainly tune in. I hate that podcast crap.

I've noticed in the articles I've read so far (mostly just regurgitations of the Cumulus press release) that there's no mention of the short lived Frosty, Heidi & Frank Show that was on (then-Citadel) KABC a couple of years ago.

They're returning to a sister station of sorts - but under new ownership, of course.

Heidi & Frank will tank (Hey! That rhymes!).

The smart $ gives it a year, and then something else will in its place!

I agree. Heidi & Frank will simply hold court until Cumulus gets someone else like "The Regular Guys" out of Atlanta. Without Frosty to hold the show together professionally, Heidi & Frank will spin off of the rails quickly. I do admire Heidi & Frank's stick-to-it-tivness sinc being shown the door at KLSX (and even Star 98.7 for Frank) but I think this will be a very short chapter for their resumes.

I think if Cumulus were going to put on "'The Regular Guys' out of Atlanta" they would have put "'The Regular Guys' out of Atlanta" on. Cumulus may be looking at Heidi and Frank as another product that they can syndicate to some of their other properties, along the lines of CC's premium choice. Otherwise, why spend the money on an interim show? That makes no sense whatsoever.

FHF were quite popular during their KLSX heyday and H&F have managed to keep a devoted group of followers with their live streaming show, even making a living from their subscriber base. I wish them the best of luck at Cumulus

Wow.....Whatever happened to comments like, "Congratulations Heidi & Frank!?"

Well let me say it.....

Congratulations Heidi & Frank! 8)

"The Best Of Mark And Brian" runs until (at least) Fri. 8/31 in mornings.
I believe that they had scheduled a two week vacation no matter the outcome of the Brian Phelps negotiations.

Not sure if there'll be a show on Monday 9/3 Labor Day - in case KLOS has some special holiday weekend programming planned.
If not, then I'd imagine "Best Of M+B" would run that morning.

Is this somewhat egotistical (Frank comment) or...? "I’m beyond honored that Frank Kramer and I have been invited to become a part of something so legendary! The ‘Heidi and Frank Show’ fans are second to NONE and I know they will be with us on this long fun ride together.” Frank Kramer comments, “If it would have been any other station than KLOS, I would have said no. We have a huge following across the world and only a station as large and iconic as KLOS could lure us back to radio" per press release. Last check they were pulling about 5-6k "internationally". Hum, I am sorry, but that is a little self-centered and a little bit delusional. Is there anyone humble anymore? Just an observation.

That's paid subscribers. They have considerably more listeners who listen for free.

They're doing a live appearance at the Canyon Club on Saturday. You should go out there and see how big a crowd a little internet show draws.

I also think the demographics of that crowd is important too. I bet they were quite young as compared to the seniors and assisted living home residents that show up when Larry Elder or Peter Tilden make live appearances.
