From the WFPL website:
It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of a friend and colleague at WFPL and Louisville Public Media. Heidi Caravan passed away Saturday following a battle with cancer.
We will miss her generous spirit, loyal friendship and her hearty laughter. Heidi received local and national recognition for her reporting and editing.
A native of Foxtrap, Newfoundland, Heidi came to WFPL in 2000 as producer of "State of Affairs." She went on to serve as WFPL's Director of News and Programming. She is survived by her husband, Ron. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced later.
