Heidi is back on the air in Roanoke-Lynchburg

I'm with you on this, ROV was stupid to let her go.

The problem is that ROV had ruled the roost for over ten years with laughable competition. ROV has become a dinosaur AOR station ripe for the taking...esp. in Lynchburg where the 96.3 signal has some issues. The Planet is doing respectably well given it's pretty iffy signal in spots.

Good luck to Heidi and the Planet! I listen everytime I make it back up that way!

Firing an established name and icon of your station is not the way to improve things.

I've not had problems with WROV when I was in Lynchburg, though granted I don't go to residential neighborhoods. But yes, The Planet is definitely doing well, and with Heidi, they've definitely made themselves even better and more attractive.

I listened to her last show on Rov ,then I am watching the local 10 and 11 o'clock news and she was on there saying it happened right

after her show ended and she didn't see it coming.I was mad and I shot Rov an email saying they just lost a listener,I also sent an email to

The Planet saying their ratings should pick up due to this.It did cross my mind at that time that Heidi would be a great addition to their

station. The Planet reminds me of what Rov-fm was when it started in '89 and the old Q-99 Rock radio from the early 80's.

Rov does have some reception problems around Lynchburg,in the River Ridge Mall area, also below Brookville High School in the Laxton Rd.

Enterprise Dr. area as well as downtown.
