HEIDI WEST ON WBMW

Former Lite midday gal now middays on WBMW in New London. It's in All Access. Took a while but she's back on the air.

That obviously leaves Jodi out of the picture. She's been there for awhile(at least 6 years, as I remember), and a staffing change of someone whos been around so long getting let go is not something that happens around these parts too much.

I remember meeting Jodi during a job fair at a hotel in Norwich several years ago. This was around 3pm or so. I asked her "How are you doing a live remote when I know for a fact Marc Sommers who's on the air now isn't live and that he's voicetracked?" (Marc would introduce her) She said, rather insisted, "Oh, here's really there, he's live in the studio" and I said, "I was pretty sure he wasn't" and she said, "Oh, he's there for sure".

(I know John Fuller has that station voicetracked outside of Morning Drive and I knew for a fact Marc wasn't there, but i guess they like to lie to their listeners point blank)

Wow, you cornered the midday girl about voicetracking at an appearance. Nice work dude, what a stud!

I dislike voicetracking and hate when folks lie, no matter the circumstances...

The girl was representing the station and it stands to reason she'll say what the station would expect her to. She isn't going to give you inside information at a remote or job fair. By the way Connecticut seems to be the next step after Providence now with Heidi, Robby Bridges, and Chris Eagan all working there. Personally I don't hear any bad radio in Connecticut but nearby Connecticut has always seemed to me to be kind of a boring radio market.

You're right. Connecticut radio is pretty good, but it is, in general, somewhat boring.
