Anyone else try to listen to Helen's show?. She talks too fast,
too loud and too boring. Not many calls at all. Is it only me???
Keep trying for some change, but after listening a few mins, I feel
like screaming "Shut Up" and then I surf the dial. STINKS!!!
 
I think she compensates for the guy that talks to her (Mountain man). He sounds nurdy, like Wally Cox of Under Dog fame. I think Tim, her producer, is much better suited to be on air with her.
I worked with Ron St. P. along time ago, he believes callers are Cannon Fradder. I think just the reverse. Helen may want to get more personal , with her callers. It's R.I. , we like that friendly stuff.
 
I wish Mountain man would just shut the 'F' up! Who made that guy a co-host anyway? He is clueless and ignorant.
 
Helen was very interesting and informative, prior to the mandates, to limit most of the talk to local boring issues. So, now, we have JD, York and her the same thing every day.

Her strong areas are national issues. She had great guests, whether one agreed or disagreed.
 
Helen seems like a very nice person, but she does not have much talk radio experience. She wastes the first 20 minutes of each show yakking about her life with that Mountain Man guy. Just nonsence babble. Get to what the show is going to be discussing. But what REALLY sets me off is when she refers to her husband as "Mr. Glover." Mr. Glover??? WTF?? I bet she must be a real hot ticket in bed! "Mr. Glover, no put it over here." Every so often I tune back, but there is just no improvement. There seems to be a lack of interest in that entire operation. I'm with an earlier poster. I go NPR.
 
The problem is she has to discuss local boring things.

Mr. Glover's mom is Lebanese, I guess , he dislikes his first name, so on radio he is Mr. Glover.

She is high energy, but, I also sense frustration , she is intelligent, well read, has many contacts , due to her previous position working with Navy Seals. She is wasted spending all the time on the same things that are gone over and over, and over.
 
So whats so wrong with "Mr. Glovers" first name??? Don't tell me his mom named him Osama!
 
I doubt there's anything wrong with Mr. Glover's first name... What's Dan's wife's first name? How about John's? Or Ron's wife? It's not common knowledge... Just because Helen, Dan, John, and Ron are in the public eye, does not mean their spouses or families need to be... Dan talks about his wife and daughter every now and again on his show, but he doesn't refer to them by name... Those not in the limelight should be allowed some common privacy... Don't you think? :)
