...this time nestled in between WBPT and WUHT...now broadcsting on its new frequency of 107.3. I was up in the business section of Helena around 1:30 pm today and heard the station while in my car. I had stopped by the Helena CVS to plug in my ipod (I don't have one of those aux/line in for my car stereo), so I use an FM transmitter. Normally, I use 107.3 for it. I turned the Ipod on, hooked the transmitter up to the stereo, and tuned to 107.3. I started hearing the Cranberries "Linger" immediately, and I thought...I haven't selected any music to play...and not only that...I don't have the particular song on my ipod (although I need to download it). The signal was really strong, so I disconnected the transmitter from the radio..the station is still there. I'm figuring it might be WQLT out of Florence, but thought I'd leave it on to see. A few minutes later, the station identifies itself as "The Valley". Wherever it was originating from, the signal was very close by, as the station stopped on a scan at 107.3. I headed back toward hwy 261 and 52 and the signal got weaker as I headed back through that area.
I heard the station again headed north on I-65 this afternoon around 4 pm...from about the Alabaster exit to just south of the Valleydale Road exit. The station idenfified themselves again...this time as "107.3, The Valley".
