Fort Myers Hell Yeah 93.7 Moves To 94.1

New website address for the "Hell Yeah" country format (not exactly difficult to figure out;)):

Streaming for the "Taylor Swift Stunting" format (WHEL-FM-93.7) is not available,
but the song titles and "production elements" can be seen via the direct streaming address below
which is currently running a "stream simulcast" of WAVV-HD2 Naples Park/W300EF Naples - Smooth Jazz 107.9:
(Copy and paste only to plug in to media players - that's the only way to see the song titles/elements.)
(Plus: address will only open in a Firefox browser tab as is)

Streaming isn’t available cuz of copyright royalties in the aftermath of the scooter Braun incident

And/or - likely the station didn't obtain a waiver to stream one artist's material exclusively which would be in violation of the DMCA.
(There are limits as to how many times an artist's recordings may be streamed within one hour and then within one day, one week, etc.)
*Certification needed - corrections/clarifications welcomed.*

Since it's only a "stunt", WHEL will just ride it out with the stream "as is" until the actual format switch.
Hopefully this will be the streaming address for the new format - stay tuned - to be determined.
Images/descriptions are for the old format that was previously on 93.7 HD2 - before that on 94.1 W231DC.

To Listen Live in a more conventional way:

You're all trying to find logic where there isn't any...

Sun changes formats and moves brands around so often that they don't change stream paths as brands move from one signal to another. Since they are starting an additional brand it is doubtful that a stream exists yet for it.

WHEL is the third of three Country stations in the Fort Myers market. This market certainly doesn't need that many.

WWGR 101.9 Renda... #7 tie

WCKT 107.1 iHeart...#11

WHEL 93.7 Sun...#16 tie

If it is stunting with Taylor Swift, does that mean a Hot AC format is likely?

Hmm, if Top 40 isn't doing that great these days, why go with Top 40? Instead of three Country stations, now SW Florida has two Top 40/CHR stations?

Why not Hot AC? The market has one Hot AC station, WSGL 104.7, owned by Renda. But it has a limited signal, 20,000 watts, from a tower near Naples. It doesn't effectively reach Fort Myers or Cape Coral. WHEL is 43,000 watts and its tower is further north.

Much of the northern half of the market also can listen to Kix Country 92.9 out of Port Charlotte. There are still many options for Country fans, even with WHEL changing formats.
