Hello Everyone. I am back and excited. Yes, I am still trying to pursue 94.3 FM and would like to get K-Love on here, if all possible.

Hope they have their new station going in Meridian at 98.9. If so, I would like to rebroadcast that station, if I am able to.

I am no longer using an Apple Computer. The one I got was a lemon and gave me all kinds of trouble. I am now back to using a Dell and will never think of leaving them.

P.S. Thought Apple was going to be "It" Computer for me. Found out, that wasn't the case.

Dude, doesn't K-LOVE (EMF) OWN all of the signals they broadcast on? I don't understand what you're tyring to do there. Besides set yourself up for financial trouble.

It doesn't matter whether they own all of their translators or not. RDP is trying to perform a "labor of love" for his community in putting on a translator to bring in Christian programming.

If this is truly what the Lord has impressed upon him to do, then we should support him in doing it. After all, the Lord will call whom he will call, to do the work that he will have done, and if such things are done in this manner, the blessings of the Lord will follow. (Exodus 33:19)(Romans 9:15)

For sure I wish him all the best! But certianly the Lord wouldn't object to some Christian programming that is a little less bland, cookie cutter, and generic (as in not local at all). K-Love is so boring, and does next to nothing for the communities it "serves" other than play the same old boring music over and over and over and over.

About 250-300 would be a little more accurate for many...

Too far away. If I am able to rebroadcast K-Love 98.9 from Meridian, that will be a miracle from God.

God needs to spend more time on things like the Isreali/Palestinian situation and terrorism in general, and less time populating rural America with Right Wing "Religious" radio stations, IMHO. Show us a REAL miracle, God, please!!!

Since this is a board devoted to "religious" radio stations, how would you go about changing the idea that the term is so closely associated with "right-wing"?

Is the music played on religious stations as right-wing as the talk? ...or is it just the talk that needs to be changed?

Please share your ideas, and don't just gig us with rhetoric. Thanks!

Wow. I thought it was just me who fell into the occassional "I know more than God" rut. Glad to know there are others who stumble there too.

I usually only take the advice of those who are wiser than I on the particular subject I'm needing counsel on. I imagine when we know more about ANYTHING than God does, then we will have some merit in making suggestions of what He needs to do.

"Show us a REAL miracle, God, please!!!"

He who has eyes to see... there are plenty of them all around us every moment of every day.

I know it can seem that stopsets, music, talk programs, and such are really trite compared to world peace, hunger, and so many greater goods that could be accomplished. My trip to see first hand how most of our world lives has taught me to hold radio loosely.

BUT, there is most definitely a purpose behind religious programming. There are many hearing the news of God's great mercy and love for the first time on the radio, and many others who are encouraged to share it because of the motivation a station brought to their day.

He loves us in spite of our childish rantings and rebellions against His ways.

And maybe how much He loves us will be revealed to someone through reading a thread on a radio board. Wouldn't that be something.

I suppose when a licensed tax exempt operation gobbles up every nook and cranny of available RF spectrum and uses the platform to polarize it's listeners to the political agenda of a particular party, I question how far different we are than the theocracies that threaten our very way of life.

Religious broadcasters for the most part are NOT winning souls to Christ. They are "singing to the already converted evangelical choir" so to speak, while preying on the desperate and ignorant for financial support.

Yes, I am cynical. I am waiting for someone to prove me wrong. I would be quite happy if someone could or would. Just like the Islamic world needs to take reponsibility for the few that tarnish their religion, religious broadcasters need to excise the airwaves of the likes of Crouch and Hinn. Until then, I truely believe religious broadcasting does much more harm than good in spreading the true word of Christ.

Yeah, I'm tired of those NPR folks, too!

Well, many years ago, I was in the same place, and, when I was, nobody could have proven me wrong. It's something that you'll have to discover.

True, but they're not on radio...
