Hi all. I am the Groundhog, aka Triple 3 in the Show Me State.
I've been around CB Radio's since the 1960's as a kid when my Dad had base stations in the house and mobiles
in the vehicles so, In the 70's when I started driving I also kept a radio in my vehicle as well.
In my truck now I am running a Galaxy DX-94HP and switch back and forth between my Dad's old
102 in SS Whip and the huge barrel spring he had with it. Both from the 60's and, the spring is as stout as
any spring I've ever seen. Maybe they made them better back then. Back to switching, sorry. Anyway, the
other antenna I use is a Sirio 5000 which I removed the original coax and redone it with some LMR-240 and
it is just almost as good as the old 102 whip. An excellent antenna, imho.
Anyway, I have a few more radios laying around that I play with occasionally but, I just wanted to join here and
see what the talk, and the latest was in the World of CB and Ham Radio, SSB, etc...
I'm positive I will read some very good and informative information here and, I certainly look forward to it.
