Looks like the dog days of summer have befallen us. From my perspective it doesn't look like much is changing in the Lubbock radio scene. Anything new?
 
I was through there last week. It didn's sound like 95.5 was Spanish - they must have changed format. 98.1 is still a conventional oldies station the last couple of times I have been through there, they are announcing that they are oldies and not "60's and 70's". 104.9 has an incredible signal - I got them as far East as Seymour, thats 160 miles! About where some of the Dallas stations start to come in (not including Twister and Casa, which make it to Guthrie). But as always, I'm ususally listening to the mouse when I'm out there (KMKI 620). I will be curious whether the lower digital sideband alone will be enough to get digital stereo out there. The upper sideband is obliterated by 630 in Lovington. I met some more KMKI listeners out there in May - how long until Disney puts an affiliate there?!

Keeping in mind that they are only "rumors," what kind of rumors have you been hearing?

If it's the one about them selling their radio stations, that one's been cirulating forever...
 
I've heard that about a format flip on the AM. Funny thing, it's not a CC or Ramar....or Entravision. So I'm not sure if it even matters.
