Thank you for the welcome. I worked for KSES-AM in Yucca Valley, CA (that station went dark a long time ago). Then I worked at KDHI-AM/ KQYN-FM combo in 29 Palms (which has since changed owners at least once). After that I worked at X103.9 in San Bernardino (they changed owners and format too) and then at KDES in Palm Springs (which also had an ownership change since I was there). I was on air at all of them and did some production and promotions work as well. And I was offered a four hour weekend job at KOLA-FM but turned it down because I would only get one hour of DJ time and the rest would be riding the board on a syndicated show. In retrospect I should have taken that job because one hour on the mic is better than none at all, but we all make decisions we wish we hadn't in life. Before that I worked in college radio at KKSM (Palomar College) and KSJS (San Jose State University). I miss radio but I don't miss automation and I got into the business right when it was taking over. Fortunately I had TV production to fall back on doing freelance camera and sound work. But radio was and still is my first love. If I ever win the lottery (yeah right) I'll buy a small market AM-FM combo. It's a nice dream.
