Hello...Goodbye

Are you asking us to guess? Good Luck,,,this is RadioInfo, not radio guesso. Thanks JBI

I agree. Plus one's "headline" should somehow describe the subject matter. I guess "Hello ... goodbye" kind of does but it's too cryptic.

Henry...this may be slightly OT. But I distinctly remember meeting you when you started the MRN news network there near lake Hico in Jackson...and later at WKXI. You are a pioneer. AND...obviously, I agree with you on the new post. Regards, JBI

Thanks JBoyd. I'm old now but having the time of my life in the media business but I'm in newspaper now instead of radio. Still have deadlines but they're daily instead of hourly. I learned "news" in Mississippi and am forever grateful. The old MRN got in some legal troubles just after I left (i.e., after they kicked me out of the state) to come to Texas and I was told they were going to come get me and bring me back to Jackson to testify. But they never did. All the original players, except for me, are dead now.

Of course, this has nothing! to do with the subject on this thread ... except we haven't yet figured out what Superfly123 was referring to.

Henry and J Boyd....happy Saturday night from another oldtimer.......

Observation: This was apparently his (?) first report. Could someone else be lurking?,,especially since no answer? Not to speculate! But a pleasant remaining weekend to you all...JBI

There is and add posted at on the radio "real estate" site advertising a AM and 2 FM group in MS. Any other details out there?

Does this not sound like Larry Fuss. 1 AM and 2 FM's! Just how many stations owners have th at kind of combination in the Delta?

Mr. Fuss would be correct! However, the word is that the entire cluster is up for sale. So, in addition to Greenville, the AM/FM in Indianola and the FM in Cleveland is on the block.

Please..."The word" could be manufactured or misinformed...rumors are potentially damaging...especially when talking about someone's business...think about it. Thanks JBI

My stations may be forsale, but definitely not listed with a broker in any media. Again, "somewhere" is "nowhere" JBI

Cat: My Father used to say..."If you sit down, you go down"...maybe I am a personification of that statement! BUT, we have a sales contract for the stations and it includes an agreement that I will continue to handle the technical aspects of the operation as long as I am able to do so....who knows how long that will be. The transfer application is on hold pending the "Cliff" charades, as it will certainly affect the final terms of the sale. SO...the stations were NEVER listed , thus the suggestions that they were are defective!...BUT, there will be no "CC" or such sale...it is a local deal. Thanks and a great Christmas to everyone! JBI
