Talk radio is DEAD in RI, except for Matt Allen. JD would bring it back to life. I know he can be tuff. So was Steve White, Sherm and still are Arlene and Dan..
When John was here, HJJ had 50,000 listeners any 15 mins. Now its 18 to 20,000.
Love him or hate him, he would be number 1 in our market.

I say good point except this one thing.....what can this guy really contribute that the other 57 conservatives add....not much.

This board is locked in on conservative talk radio 24-7. It will make the waves even more moribund than they already are. Then you will hear about progressive radio doesnt work....but Bill George and the team at WHJJ and CC did not serve it well at all. Even if its not progressive radio, this town does not need two conservative stations. Thats why I hope WHJJ gets sold to a new owner with a vision of something else. Anything is better .....with WTKK and WRKO and WPRO all within listening distance, one would think that's enough. They all play the same garbage more or less....just a different talking head.

doc, in the state of RI where there is always something going on a DePetro is exactly the kind of [EDIT] stirer we could use. I like Yorke but as time goes on it's obvious he's more interested in being thought of as one of the boys by the powerful Democrats than in telling it like it is and risk losing his buddy status. It's sickening to hear him grovel and kiss ass the way he does. DePetro would not only shake up the political neighborhood but would be a much needed wakeup call to Yorke who's getting to be a bit too full of himself right now.
