Hello

Hello everyone.

I've been on the forums for a long time and now I'm here as a member of RadioDiscussions.

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated with anything radio.

My only experience in the radio industry is using Nielsen's meter and part time work in radio sales for a local station.

Whenever I'm not busy in my other passions, I occasionally dabble in radio DXing where I try to get enough reception to identify its call signs. I would then look up and measure how far is it from where I am using measurement from Google.

I only know enough to understand the business side of radio. It's fascinating how formats die and others thrive.

Hope to meet everyone here.

Hi Archie,
It is wonderful to meet you. I remember Arbitron as the ratings keeper. I also was on the radio before CD players. I am kind of young, late 50's, and like you, I love radio. We all started somewhere in radio, DeeJays, engineers, sales, programming or just a DXer, everyone matters here.
