Help choosing a bitrate

Should I go 128k or 48k aac? I cant really tell much difference but Windows media player WHICH MOST PEOPLE STILL USE,, doesnt support AAC without a plugin, which only radio geeks have... Thanks for tuning in guys.
 
48k aac it is for now.. 128 seems to buffer out a bit with my connection, but idk if its cuz I go down the street and test it at the hotels wifi in the parking lot... But 48k acc sounds fine with no processing, while mp3 sounds flat.
