I am on the air right now(waaf).....I would appreciate any and all feedback....thanks!

you s*ck.

wait - never mind. that was me listening to my own aircheck.

you're doing fine. relax. smile. and think of Chevy Chase in "Caddyshack" when he says "Be the ball."

Just "be" yourself. Don't be "that guy on the radio."

Pretend your whole audience is listening to you wearing only their underwear. Make sure you think of that everytime you open the Mic. I'm going to tune in so that I can hear you laugh on the air.

I'm just reading this now so missed the show last night, but I do have one piece of advice I would give to anyone new to radio. When on-air don’t talk to your audience as a group. Talk to them as just one person. Technically there are thousands listening, but more than likely they’re not all listening to you in a group. Each one is probably alone in their car or at work. If you pretend that you’re talking to just one person then those people in their car or at work will think that you are talking directly to them. Using “everyone out there” “hi guys” and stuff like that can sometimes alienate an audience.

I’m sure you did great! I’ll try to tune in the show this Sunday. Good Luck!

Hmmm...Sunday nite shift, same as moi ;D

I'll have to check you out next week. What time are you on?

Pay attention to your show, not this board.

My aim was to get feedback......To me it's important what people have to say about my show....I am my worst critic....but I can't give myself constructive criticism...that's what I'm looking for. I am trying to get better...that's why I posted this.

It's great that you are looking for feedback on your show. A couple of things to ponder, is it really a show or an air shift? T & R, Hillman, Matty, Howie Carr, The Big Show etc. are shows, Sunday nights from 6-10 warming up for the local music showcase is hardly a show. I hope you have the talent and opportunity to eventually do the show of your dreams, until then remember to do what got you where you are today. Also you may want to reconsider coming to this board for advice, I'm going to take a gander and say 85% of posters here are in the same boat as you. Either working part time or completely out of the industry, do you really want the advice of a bitter has been?

By the way I'm sure you're doing a fine job or you wouldn't be on the air at all, so keep it up.

WAAF used to have a slogan that said, " All radio stations s*cks, But we s*ck less ".

I thought WCCC FM Hartford CT had this slogan? I have airchecks for the 03/04 era
