Help ID this song?

It's a vocal by a male crooner, I'm thinking probably Engelbert Humperdinck, but possibly Tom Jones, that I heard on Detroit's BM/EZ station, WJOI-FM (Joy 97), in the late '80s or early '90s. All I remember of the lyrics is a lyric from the bridge that went something like, "You're my dream come true, my constellation" (or was it "consolation" - I misheard lyrics a lot when I was a kid; when I heard Engelbert's "Quando, Quando, Quando" I thought it was "Wanda, Wanda, Wanda" and he was singing to a woman named Wanda, probably in part because I had a great-aunt Wanda... but I digress). I also remember there was a "doo-doo-doo-doo" hook sung by what could have been either an all-female chorus or a chorus of kids.

Anyone know the title and who sings it?
