Here's the scoop. I am with a Canadian station (that I prefer not to identify) that is changing from Country (mainly older stuff) to Lite Rock/Easy listening music, and the current music director has decided this is a change he wants nothing to do with and is stepping aside and I have been pegged with taking over. The problem is that when I looked at his music categories, well, there really aren't any. Just old country, new country, and nothing really in order and nothing to really build on with the new sound. Fun Fun!

I am hoping somebody out there will be willing to either post on here or email me with some suggestions on how best to categorize this type of format, keeping in mind the great CanCon rules here. My lack of experience has me less than confident in this endeavor, and while I have experience in many aspects of radio, I will admit that music programming is not one of the fields I have been done in the past. We are looking to do our music with more of a newer sound and not a ton of old music if that helps let you know what we are striving for.

Thanks in advance!

Vick
