This is what a Jacksonville station posted on their website.
interns in our "Business/Traffic, Production, Promotions, and Programming Departments."
Basically every department needs some serious help. Because they've fired everyone else..
Have the opportunity to network with some of our On Air Staff.
Oh my god, alert the police.. Don't they know college kids have unplugged from radio?
That's radio still stuck in the past, living off their own hype and spin.. a little bit delusional...
and really out of touch with reality.. Question what color is the sky in your world?
Employment Status: Part-Time
If they work full time you'd have to pay minimum wage...
Benefits: Unpaid position to receive college credit only. No medical or other benefits.
Well that says it all..
And if these interns make it into radio, their benefits will continue. LMAO..
Actually I'm just having fun, but from experience smart college kids size up the situation real quick and figure out radio is about long hours for little no money.. That and coming off their education owing $80,000.00 is a motivator to find a well paying career path.
Hint it ain't radio...
Radio is finished as we know it. But that doesn't seem to matter to people in radio. They talk a big game... The guys that run radio are these big people and they regard themselves as big people... I laugh because they are big in their own minds." - Cramer
The more I read the above statement, the more I have to agree..
